Creative Developer Portfolio
The term "Creative Developer" can be interpreted in many ways, but for me, it refers to a developer who focuses on creating engaging experiences, often incorporating animation and 3D elements.
While still at Vercel, I started Bruno Simon's course for Three.js and it sparked joy in my heart. I was also inspired by the websites I was seeing from Awwwards. I wanted to learn all these visually stunning techniques!
My favorite two projects are the ones I did with the agency, Pretty Big Monster. Their main clients are in the entertainment space and there had been a push for more web based experiences.
HERE is a film produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis, based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire. In anticipation for it’s release, the Sony marketing team reached out to Pretty Big Monster for a unique interactive web experience. In it’s final form, the site allows users to send a custom postcard inviting a loved one to see the HERE movie at a local theater. There was also a collaboration with the Google Map team and a subsequent case study.

Spongebob Squarepants is an iconic children’s show- one that I myself grew up watching. The 25th anniversary of the show was this year(2024) and Nickelodeon wanted a special site to launch during the Kids Choice Awards. Choose your fish, change it’s features and outfits, and get a fishy name. Export your fish to share with your friends!

I've taken three courses during this time, including:
Bruno Simon‘s Three.js Journey, Josh Comeau‘s Joy of React course, and Emil Kowalski‘s Animations on the Web I've connected with some amazing individuals and been involved with some really neat projects!
I’ve genuinely enjoyed the flexibility and challenges of being a freelance developer, but I’m now ready to transition into a more focused role with an inspiring team. I look forward to concentrating on a single product and iterating to make it even better.
